Poverty threatens every right, and deprive the children of the skills they need to survive, develop and prosper. Children living in the country reflected in this map are facing the worst deprivations of essential goods and services: More than one third of all children are malnourished, lacking basic immunization, or are not registered or attend school. In 13 countries, less than half the population has access to improved drinking water and adequate sanitation facilities.
