Highest poverty

The average life expectancy in Africa is 46, compared with 77 of the countries that are part of the G8, according to estimates by humanitarian aid organizations.

About 30 thousand children die every day on the mainland for purposes of avoidable poverty, and 4.5 million die annually before their fifth birthday, while every 30 seconds a child dies because of the African malaria.

One of every 16 women in sub-Saharan region run the risk of death during pregnancy, compared with one in every 3000 U.S. 600.

Another point of concern is the impact of AIDS on the continent, as some 26 million Africans are infected with the virus of evil, according to World Health Organization (WHO).
